Over the years Ive own almost every var. of the Endura at some point, but this one is my fav. One thing Ive always liked about Spydercos were there great serr. Even when there broke and beat up they keep going.

I have always used the serr. to score and saw with when Im out in the woods.

I know a folder is not a chopper but I couldnt resist wacking this branch. One wack.

Ive never been a big fan of serr. on the main edge of any knife but with the spyderco edge I dont have much to complain about worked fine here other than some grooves in the wood.

Overall theseare great folders.

Heres a photo of my first Endura.

Black blade with g-2 steel. I carried it at my first duty station in Ft. Drum NY. Even carried it in Panama. Ive cut everything from commo wire to C-4 with it and even though the tips gone and the teeth are chewed up it will still go.

There are a lot of different types of serrations, some of the generalizations made don't apply uniformly across all types. The SpyderEdge pattern does a lot of wood work well, better than plain edges, even if coarse. Nice pics, it sure does take a massive amount of work to actually eliminate the cutting ability.

How does the new Spidy hold an edge? I have an Emerson CQC 7 and it does okay but the one sided edge is a pain to sharpen, and it gets dull pretty quickly. The CQC 7 is tuff as heck but the edge retention is my only complaint.

Thanks for your thoughts and SUPERB pics! I wish we f$*&#ing already had one of these here!

Ok I guess I havent really used it that much yet. I never really dull any of my knives I maintain the edge dull and after use. lightly sharpen it

Great pictures!
You're making it very difficult to resist the Endura 4.

Thanks,
Allen.
