endura vs native vs blur

i use it for work (thicker bags and strapping where a utility razor cant be used for either safty or product damage reasons)
i also edc it out of work
I need good strength and reliability

who wins?

Between the three, I'd vote Kershaw Blur. I really liked my S60V version with the OD Green handle. But, like I said in your other thread, I like my Cold Steel American Lawman more :D

Spyderco Native. The others are too big.

Maybe consider the Kershaw Leek instead of the Blur. The Leek would be great for strapping, as the pointy blade would be able to slip right in that tight spot.

have a leek actually, snapped my point and had to send to kershaw to get fixed need somethin a bit tougher

I EDC an Endura 4 FFG and use one at work, it's certainly not too big. I don't care for the Blur myself, it works great with gloves though thanks to the aggressive cuts on the thumbstud and the jimped liner lock though. It will eat your pockets for lunch though where as the Endura and Native wont. I also didn't care for the torsion bar rattle that mine has, which I've heard is common on speedsafe knives.

Is there anyway you could condense all of these requests into one thread? You've made at least 4 threads all asking about what EDC knife you should buy. Perhaps you should be researching the existing information more, rather than starting a new thread every time you think of a new question. Most of the other threads are still active and have already answered some of the newer questions you keep starting additional threads to ask.

Just a thought.

Dibs on the Spyderco native.

Of the three listed, I've had both spydie's, have not tried the Kershaw blur. However the Blur appears to me to be hollow ground, and if your main application is the heavy kind of work-related cutting tasks you described, I'd probably go with the Native, get the S35v version, it's worth it to me. It's really one of my top 5 favorite Spyderco's of all time.

The Native is a great knife, but also has a pretty thin tip. I'd go Endura.

I own a Blur and the edge is ground very thin to the point of fragility. I think the others will stand up better to the use you describe.

I think for the work tasks described, including cutting boxes, you aren't going to need a really wide or thick tipped knife. You want some penetration for stabbing into the box, and then a great cutting edge with good edge retention . The Native tip is plenty strong for such an assignment.

Native 4 or 5.
If you need a longer blade go with the Endura.
i ended up with the endura, was gonna get a native but blade seemed a bit short and im not sure but it also looked riveted and i like to be able to adjust the blade when it gets play, ik itll get play one day

i got a blue handled ffg 1

I carried a Native for 3 years, the clip attchement stripped out finally but it never developed blade play

well thats good to no, i liked the native and endura equally as good i might get a native in the future sometime when i want to have a rotation in what i carry, for now the endura will do i hope

I have a Blur S30V and I would prefer it out of the ones that you mentioned, but I would suggest that you consider a Delica.

I would pick either of the Spydies here and think you'll be happy with your choice, which kind of Endura did you pick? Older Enduras and and FRN Native are two folding knife models I have used a ton.
