yeah folks im in between these 2 models.i really like the para2 but the price is x2 of endura so its not an easy decision(btw dont act it like 100$ im gonna pay 170 $ only 1 shop selling it endura is 90 $)
if we compare vg-10 to a cpm s30v its really much better? And the lock is more sturdier and fun to play(which i like :D)im gonna buy para2 as an backup outdoor knife some cleaning fishes, whitling ect...
well the endura's tip is much more stronger but looks like its gonna lack some detail work.
Please compare these knifes and if its possible post pics of them together.

Have a little patience buddy, most of us are working at this moment, it's 10am here on the west coast of the states.

The Knives couldn't be more different in steel, lock, handle material, blade grind, etc. I prefer S30V to VG10 in my own uses. The Crucible steel holds a better edge than VG10 for the most part.

Both knives have great ergonomics, and are designed to last a lifetime. I would say that all things not being equal, the higher price of the Para2 is justified, and it would be my choice.

I prefer the Endura just because the handle is more comfortable to me and the tip is stronger, however your milage may vary.
The Para 2 is a great knife, I just don't care for very pointy tips. Sharpening VG-10 will be a little easier, but neither are difficult if you have appropriate equipment. I am perfectly happy with VG-10 and 154CM, I actually prefer it over S30V.

Sorry thats beacause of the different time zone:D
yeah they are both good but para2 is recommended by near everyone, even its little high price(doesnt overpriced i think its right)endura4 is great too.
well my sharpening system is probably gonna be a lansky deluxe sharpening kit(or diamond).if my uncle cant buy it for me from u.s im gonna buy sharpmaker from here.
and how about the lock on para2? im little anal about locks.any play?

No play on the Para2s I have (total of 7) all sprints :D
The compression lock is actually comperable to the strength of the Cold Zteel TriAd lock, if that means anything to you. The thinner tip is not a concern for me, I tend not to stab anything hard with these kinds of knives anyway. It's a slicing machine though.

I believe you would like the Para2 the best, just my opinion. For the extra money over the Endura, what you get is well worth the price. It's a totally different knife. Not that there's anything wrong with the Endura.

7 para2 yummy:D
of course, it means a lot.i have the recon 1 tri-ad and this thing is beast.like a fixed blade.and for the compare the tip of para is thinner than the tenacious tip? actually i need a thin tip when cleaning fishes.

Unless you use a Para2 tip for a pry bar,it shouldn't be an issue.

are you kiddin me of course im not gonna use it,i have enough flathead screw drivers laying around in the house:D
btw can someone post a pic of para2 near the tenacious or endura4?

Oh by the way Zakk, the sharpmaker is great.Order the xfine stones too.The dmts are good but unless you're knife is super dull you shouldn't need them.

sharpmaker is good with s30v?(i dont let get my knifes dull)

The sharpmaker is good with everything dude. It takes awhile to get used to at first but once you get the hang of it, You will wonder how you ever got along without it.

depends on what kind of "outdoor" usage you are using it for. if just for shaving wood para 2 is a gd choice....and it is a good slicer knife too. but if u want to put the knife through harder uses, i recommend endura cz of the stronger tip. also vg10 is a bit more rust proof than s30v i believe.....even most high end kitchen knives use vg10....that might say something about the rust proof capability of the vg10. in terms of edge holding, s30v is indeed better, but not by much....vg10 is easier to sharpen.

thnx for sharpmaker info m8.and yes the shaving wood is gonna be its harshest use.i have recon 1 tanto for more brutal work.but i think i should buy a fixed blade this year:D

The Para 2 is twice the knife and so it is worth twice the price, imo.

I do all my sharpening with the Sharpmaker. I got some 280 or 360 grit triangle congress stones, they fit like a charm and really cut well for nicks ect. They are like 12 bucks shipped too! I have and Endura 4 and a Para 2 on the way. The Endura can take a crazy beating its very tough and light. Although I am anal about the up and down play on the lockback there for it does bother me some.

same with me.thats why i start searching for tri-ad lock after i use my meadowlark(love it nothing wrong with these locks butas u sad im anal too :D)
