Endura's pivot screw..

I just bought an Endura Wave. I was wondering how tight the pivot screw should be.. the wave feature works well even when tighter, but to use the hole requires more pressure. If i loosen it, the screw seems to get very loose very quickly. I am a little afraid of it working its way out soon

It doesn't take much, I usually tighten it down till it's firm, then back it off about 1/4 to 1/2 turn. I loosen mine until they just become flickable. :)

one more question... the scales are a dark blue.. not really gray like they were described.. do the have different color scales available?

No, but you can switch out the handle scales (or just the blade, even. It's less work) with any other Endura. One of my buddies at work swapped his out for the red handles of one of the trainers. Looks super cool!

You could always use teflon tape like you use on shower head threads!

I'm sorry, but I've never had a problem with screws coming loose. :p

Most of my knives don't. My D4W gets a little bit loose after a month or so, but my E4 got loose every couple days. The blue loc-tite fixed that. It's not even sealed; there's just more friction now, and it doesn't come loose.

Most of the detent I've found comes from the strength of the lockspring itself in all the mid-lock Spydies I've owned (incl. the E4W).
Just FWIW.

Definitely another vote for loctite use here, I use it on all my adjustable pivots with great success.

The same thing with my waved delica, i loosened so it would wave easier, and I now there is almost no resistance when the screw is turned. it's been like that for about 9 months of almost everyday carry and I play with it alot. my screw hasn't worked it's way loose, even in the slightlist. I was worried about it- but after this long it hasn't moved on it's own at all so dont worry about it, it'll be fine.

(I also dont have anything on the screw, dosn't need locktite)
