Hi, Fellas

I haven't posted my work here in awhile, so thought I'd show you what I've been doing. Here's an enep style 19" blade of W2 steel, with a nice hamon (which I couldn't capture in a photo) with a amber stag handle and walnut scabbard. It comes in at 11 ozs., and is fast and lively in the hand.

You make some really unique and interesting swords Mr. Stifle, like the artifacts of some long-lost tribe with highly advanced metalworking techniques. :D

Why thank you, Mecha. They probably look that way because I don't know how to work Titanium:)

Good looking blade. Looks like it would be invaluable in the brush or thickets of sawgrass. Enep, is that Thai or Fillipino ? Don't know a thing about their origin, but have seen references to both, just curious.

I've always heard it referred to as Thai. It's my understanding they are a fighter/utility style blade. Thanks for the kind remarks.

Best way to fix that: You say, "Mecha drag your scrawny carcass over to that Dr. Suess trip hammer and beat out a flat bar of beta ti for me!"

Then when you're done shaping the blade, you send it back and say, "Now heat treat this damn cuss and send it back so I can finish the Godforsaken thing!"

That's gotta be the nicest Enep I've ever seen. Love what your doing with SE Asian styled blades. And the bare blade above it is gonna be a Sansibar, no?

Mecha, I always heard Ti catches on fire if ground wrong:D:eek: Nah, I'm still working on those damned hamon's! But thank ya for the offer (I think).

A high compliment, and deeply appreciated. Yes, I'd kind of forgotten I had some unfinished knife's on the table, unfortunately, I have unfinished blades all over the place. When the mood hits me, I finish them up. I am going to do a sansibar soon, as well as a Golok.

Mostly it tries to catch everything else on fire. :D

That's unfortunate because the metal's right up your alley with the style of that enep and those other short swords of yours.

Give me time, brother. I've never thought of making a short sword out of Ti. It does sound interesting.

Just holler if you get the bug. :)
