England

Back home now mate...it was a lightening visit !! The jet-lag has been a real bitch over the weekend and I am back in my usual office today. Though I feel like sleeping now...

I know the feeling. I don't travel well. Time zone differences and jet lag really smash my body clock. It usually takes me a few days to come around.

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful country. Great pubs as well. But what I want to know is how you got your Skeleton Key past customs. My relatives - England and Scotland - tell me that carrying a knife of just about any size (think Swiss Army Classic) is strictly forbidden unless you have a good reason to carry it - hunting, fishing, camping, bushcrafting, work-related, etc. You can be stopped, searched and - at a minimum - have your knife confiscated. Up to the discretion of the bobby involved.

Customs is no issue, there are no significant import restrictions on fixed blades knives into the UK. Obviously it was in my checked luggage. You are correct that carrying it is another story and unless you are a bit out in the bush camping, hunting, fishing etc they can present an issue. You also generally have to be an issue for an issue to be caused for you. I MOST CERTAINLY did not tramp around London proper with it.

The building I did my presentation in....

and finally.... the view out of my hotel room window as a storm rolled in...

Thanks mate, still not sleeping properly !! Worst "jet lag" I have ever suffered, in the past it has been no more than two night of being restless !

I've heard 'roo shooters are in demand. Maybe make a little mad money before the jet lag wears off? :)

Great pictures Andy, Lived in England for 2 and half years and have visited a couple of times since then-Thanks and Cheers!

AND NOW I HAVE SLEPT A PROPER NIGHT !!!!! It only took a week !!!

and one last pic of my small travelling companion....

and NO they are not my initials carved into the tree....till I edited the picture today I had not even notices them .... !
