CRK Brothers and Sisters,

I have been mulling the idea of having a meaningful phrase and/or a meaningful icon engraved on my small 21 Insingo. Every now and again we see a post or a shot of an engraved CRK, but it seems they are few and far between. If you will, please post pictures and an explanation of your engraved CRK for the rest of us to enjoy. Thanks!

Death in the Long Grass. A book by Peter Hathaway Capstick, a now deceased African big game hunter. Strangely I write poetry, which is a sensitive art form, yet I eat these books up. Perhaps a call to the wide eyed youth in me. Anyway, books about Africa and a knife made by an African seem to go well together.

WOW, That's awesome to see. I have always been a fan of Capstick. First time I have seen someone else that was a fan of his. His " Hunting The Cape Buffalo " was the first safari VHS I had ever seen and is what got me hooked...................I also absolutely love Mark Sullivan and his books and movies. Some don't like that he lets the animals charge him before he shoots them, but being a hunter all my life, I do like it. They could easily run away, but choose to pit themselves against him. Priceless....!!!

Here is my second sebenza that I bought, just for this very reason many years ago. I sent it to CRK and they did the engraving. I edc'ed it for quite some time before being replaced by other Large Regular Sebenzas...........I am sure some of you longtime members have seen it, but for your newbie's out there, here ya go ;-)

I think Lisa is about to post a pic of my FAVORITE Sebenza !

I know that this was not the real intent of this thread ...... but I'm hoping that Lisa posts that one as well!!!!! Absolutely mind-blowing!

Here's mine, thanks franzdom and d.r.h. for the comments:

Thanks for the posts folks--very interesting, unique, and beautiful.

Caine--it didn't occur to me to just have the pocket clip engraved--very cool.

And, if you think it's fantastic in the pic (and who wouldn't!!) .... you need to watch her video of it (something I have done about a gazillion times .... not including the 1st attempt video!)

Yeah I took just the clip to Thing to Remember in the mall cost me like 16 buck i think

Now that's what I call engraved. Stunning by all accounts! I've been considering the possibility of having this done to a couple of CRK's, so that each will match an Anniversary Colt 1911 pistol that I have. Seeing your sample solidifies in my mind, that not only is this possible, but now it's a requirement. This may be a perfect calling for a pair of 25's. Thanks for sharing that Lisa.

I don't consider pocket wear, the CR logo or damascus steel to be engraving, your mileage may vary.
