Hi guys, im looking to get started in knife engraving. I've been engraving for about six years now (mostly jewelery and coins). I recently purchased my own equipment for my shop at home. Im looking for someone who's intrested in working with me. I can give you some good references if you want. Ive taken classes with Sam Alfano and Chris DeCamillis. Heres a link to some engraving i did. http://picasaweb.google.com/m/viewer?fgl=true&pli=1#album/jschipp/5227649298668107137 (hope that works im working from my iphone here.)

Welcome to BladeForums Shoptalk
We would enjoy looking at your past work. I think the easiest way to post pictures is Photobucket.com. You can post full size images here from there.
I think an engraver that wants work should have used his real name. It might be a good idea to re register and fill in your profile. A paid membership should help too.

GRS sells Buck knives with the lay out already on the bolsters. They sell practice plates with the same layout. You most likely have all the books and equipment you need, so at this point it is a matter of practice. GRS also sells a great form fitting knife engraving vise that fits on your existing engravers block.

Ken Hurst, on this forum, lives in NC ,about 8 hours drive from you. a visit with him would be well worth the long weekend.
