Engraving a shield?

I have been thinking about getting a shield engraved. Can someone recommend a forum member that can provide this service?

This pic was sent to me by bgspecialk and it is amazing. Great detail in this one. Its a Tom Overeynder Model 20 Trapper.

My god Jeff! that one is amazing :O Wish I wasn't on a students budget and could afford a really nice knife to be engraved properly.

While I am not on a student budget, I am on a family budget and understand your situation. That trapper is a beaut and I wish I could at least handle it. Appreciate everyone playing along with the subject and sharing these excellent examples of engravings

Thought I'd add some of the work of Pedretti. No need to say why I want one.

Pure art.

The pictures are from the engravers website

edit: although the knife is not really the point here, I'm not entirely sure if these are what you would call traditionals, if not let me know and I'll remove it.

My mind is officially "blown" by these examples of first rate engraving. Jeff - thanks for starting this thread ... really opened my eyes to the possibilities. I'm certain now that my "collecting" will not be complete (even in a temporary sense - since knifenuts are never really finished) until I get my hands on a fully engraved slippie!

Im with ya Scott(sorry Scooter ;) ) , the way an artist can make these knives come to life is unreal. I may start with my name on one in the near future but I dont think I will stop buying knives till I can get a really fancy one. They just have a bigger story to tell I guess.
