Sounds a plan. I had my very first traditionals engraved (gifts to my sons), and the results were not what I expected. On one, the initials (three letters) were disproportionately big; on the other, the kerning was off.
("Kerning" refers to [adjustments of] the space between individual letters or characters. Uniform spacing does not always work well visually; non-uniform spacing likewise look bad if one does not have an eye for it.)

I wish I'd known about requesting previews for approval.
As for the quality/endurance of the etch, no worries there. One cannot easily remove these etches. Maybe don't ask me how I know.
