Enigma Knives

I took a gamble on one a while back, before I knew anything about Enigma. I like what I got. Great steel in a very light knife, and the edge is ground really thin, close to Opinel thin.

I’ve got two Enigmas, one in US2000 and one in M390. The US2000 is essentially the same as Cruwear as I believe someone mentioned. So far mine has behaved as such which is great ‘cause Cruwear is my fav. steel.

The liners are titanium. These are very lightweight knives for their size.

I picked up two of these during the last drop and I really like them though I will probably only keep one. The wood box and cloth and extra goodies they come with was very nice first of all. The knives are super light yet very solid. Between the wood, thin blade and titanium liners it disappears in the pocket. A little longer closed length in comparison to the blade but it's not awkward. Blade is ground super thin and is an excellent slicer. Mine came sharp. I haven't really tested the steel but my research is the same as most others. With an HRC of 62 it should hold an edge forever. The pull is pretty strong maybe like a 7-8. Not even close to a nailbreaker but locks up rock solid. Very cool. IMG_20180601_172129_602~01.jpg IMG_20180605_203230_362~01.jpg

Very nice. Purple People Eater.

Hope you don’t mind my borrowing your thread. But I just received one as well. The craftsmanship on this knife is stellar. I like the fact that while it’s a traditional, it is a bit off the beaten path, and somewhat unique.

The finishing work on the handle is so smooth, it almost doesn’t feel like wood. I guess you could made the case that a super smooth handle wouldn’t be ideal in Nick Shabazz’s often referred to Vaseline factory, but I appreciate the detail very much.

Instantly in the top ten favorites from my collection...

Great looking knife. I've been waiting for them to release a run of the ones with G10 bolsters and then I'm buying!
