Alright, I got it!
I worked pretty late Friday and it was a nice surprise to come home to.
I meant to carry it to work with me to get some action shots but I walked out this morning without it.
I wear a large glove but I wouldn't say I have large hands. It fits nicely and the wood scales are grippy yet nonabrasive...I like it!
The jimping on both sides works well.
It didn't come super sharp. The edge is definitely sharp enough for any average task. I haven't tried sharpening it yet, it doesn't really need it as far as I'm concerned. I know some folks like to make them sharp as possible immediately. I do on most of my fixed blades, but I don't feel I need this hair whittling right now.
The Enlon EL-01 is pleasantly larger than I thought it would be.
The action is decent. I might would like it slightly more loose but I feel it will loosen up with time. It's not so much that its worth "breaking the seal" so to speak. In other words...I don't want to risk messing with the retention screw for fear that it may tend to walk on its own and I don't want to be tightening it up all the time. I like a bit of resistance so it doesn't open on its own. So, I'm leaving it at "almost perfect".
The clip is not set up to be moved to any other position. I'm sure it can be user modified since its in wood.
The carry is set up for tip up. For right handed folks, you can carry it in pocket with clip on the outside. I really like the catch on top for dragging it accross your pocket corner seam to open when pulling it out. I'm sure there's a name for that...I don't know it lol
Overall...from a non flipperhead, I really dig it. Moreover... It was free...whats to complain about!?
Thanks again davek14!
