Goosey, where do you live? It it depends on where you live and what the laws are like near you. Here in Texas, I never worry about knife laws as long as it's not auto.

Yes, the laws are the only reason a somewhat weak detent turns me off. I can shake out my TriAd lock folders but they don't worry me; it's not easier than any other knife and people can't really shake them out without practice... knives which a layman can easily shake out scare me...

The Speedsafe is nice but I know of a guy (or more than one) who were recommended to be charged with possession of a prohibited weapon - charges were not approved in one case, other case went to court.

Even though they sell AOs in all the stores. :rolleyes:
 
Well that was extremely entertaining. It stands to reason that a thin hollow grind would slice better than a thicker one, but there are plenty of things a ZT does better as well. And the quality is certainly much higher. I don't know how long you've been collecting knives, but as you get more accustomed to them little differences in quality become much more noticeable, and you begin to appreciate a fine knife more.
