Enlan EL08 in da house!!!

After a day of use I have a question for you myself.

¿Is hard for you to push the framelock to close the knife?

For me, opening (less) and closing (more) is becoming a pain, although I can even feel my thumb is getting stronger ¬¬
It's rather stiff to disengage the lockbar, but not even half as bad as my HEST 2.0

Thanks for the comparison lock photo! You beat me by 1, I have only 1 EL01 and 1 EL01KH. :D

It is indeed about 1.5 thickness against EL01 (50% more). And quite evidently harder to disengage.

With thinner blade but thicker liner, there's no doubting the lock strength!

I was confused. Looks as if one of the side plates (non-locking side) is totally made of G10. I went to youtube and saw that there is a plate of stainless intergral to that side plate. Just bought one on ebay. Should have it in ten days. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was also under that impression, and I was about to write it off and move along, but I might get one if it goes on sale in the future. It also seems that Enlan has finally settled on the raised triangle pivot screw for their knives, my EL-01KH came with it (even though pictures of it had the sloted triangle version) and I have seen photos of recent EL-01A units with the same pivot instead of the former 3 hole pivots.

It's not mentioned anywhere, but the blade grind is flat on my EL08, similar to EL01, not hollow.
Factory edge is quite sharp but very obtuse.

Thanks again Nilfire for review & Asincrono for comparison photo, finally I got it & am very satisfied with the build.

Edited to add: I have taken off the clip, and I think the lockbar stabilizer does it's job, both preventing overextension and movement towards the back of the handle when gripped tightly:
