Anyone have any experience with these?

I want to add that I don't want to get into Hennesey & Warbonnet discussion as I won't be camping in this.

This hammock is for woods bumming on dayhikes. A place to rest my bones, listen to nature and read a book.

Particularly interested in hammock size recommendation. They have a single and a double. Does the single feel too small for a big guy?

i have a single and use it all the time when i'm dayhiking or camping, sets up in couple minutes as long as there is some good trees around. Been using it for around 3 years now holding up great. Nap in it, and read in it thats what i do. get the slapstraps makes setting up even easier.

Do you find it hard to lay diagonal in the single? Think the double would be better?
I think it's 4'7"x 9'10" wide on the single compared to 6'8"X 9'10' on the double.

I have the doublenest, that I use for camping. it sleeps great. I used it last in october & I will be using it in April. no more tent camping for my old bones !!!

I HAD one.

It was left out on my dock.

Sat in it about a week later and it turned out that it had succumbed to sun, salt and wind.

I went straight through as if it was made from toilet paper.

So, don't leave it out. Otherwise, it was great and very comfortable.

Sorry, but do not get those. They are overpriced pieces of webbing.

You can make them yourself for a dollar!

i guess that would depend how diagonal you want to be, i usally have no problem streching out in creative ways. just stay balanced i guess.

yes you could make them, but for the twenty dollars they cost verus the 2 hours i would spend hand stiching thick nylon webbing, i say get the slapstraps. :)

You should consider a hammock bliss.
I've owned one for 3 years, and its still going strong. Note that I am a hammock camper no matter what the weather, and the fact that its lighter than the ENO, roomier, has a net, can use the net as a 2nd layer for insulation. It honestly is one hell of a deal for $60 bucks or so.
If ENO is what you want, go for it. Just don't get those crappy slap straps, they weigh a ton and stretch like rubber bands. You're better off buying some webbing, or even getting 12' tie downs from Lowe's for $10.
FWIW you don't need to stitch the webbing, just learn some good knots and you'll be fine. For more info I would definitely check out the guys at Hammockforums.net. Those guys really know their hammocks!!!

Funny LMT, I was in REI today and I kinda quick browsed over the same exact item. I was thinking about picking 1 up. I was contemplating going back within the next week and getting a set up for doing some camping this year at some point. Ya know, go and use the 20% off coupon and the dividend dough.
