Enrique Peña 2013 Blade Show Knives

Really cool pattern Enrique. At the risk of showing how much of a rookie I am I have to ask what the purpose is for the two holes so close on the springs?

Here is a knife that I have been working on today. It represents a full and long day of work. I have not made a Folding Hunter in about three years and I think I like the way this one is coming out. It will have blades and springs of CPM 154, integral liners and bolsters, pivot bushings and washers instead of mill relief liners for cleaner look. The washers on this knife are .004" thick. I did not have big enough washers for this knife so I made about 20 of them on my lathe today. Was not sure if I would be able to make them but now I know they can be made on the lathe and you can make about 100 of them if you stack the shim stock. I will post a picture of it when I finish it. Thanks for your comments.

Something tells me that this will be out of this world.

Hello to all. Here is a picture of another knife that I will be taking to the 2013 Blade Show. The knife is 4" closed, blades and springs are CPM 154, integral liners and bolsters, pinned shield, pivot bushings and stainless steel washers instead of mill relief liners for a cleaner inside look, very nice and positive action, flush in all positions, and nice and tight liners and springs. Thanks for looking and your previous comments on my knives.

Here is the folding hunter from parts to finished knife. This is a huge knife at 5 5/16'' closed. This one has a supper slick action.

Wow,

Those are just beautiful.

Enrique, of all the custom slipjoint makers out there, yours are the ones I admire most. That jigged bone is incredible, the dark perfect ovals against amber color is just awesome. Also those swedges look great, thin and clean. I don't know how you do it man, that is a lot of attention to detail. Very nice

Hello to all and thanks for all your previous comments.

This knife measures 4 5/16" closed, blades and springs of CPM 154, integral liners and bolsters, washers instead of mill relive liners for a cleaner inside look. This knife turn out really nice and the fit and finish is really nice and clean as I stated earlier that I like. The blades nest really nice with no blade rubbing, all nail nicks lend themselves to ease of opening the blades, the spine is as clean and tight as can be, the springs are fully flushed in all positions, the action is right at about a 5 on my scale on every blade and the action is very smooth on every blade.

Please stop by table 15C at the 2013 Blade Show and check out the knife along with others for your self.

Thanks to all for your support as always.

Fantastic Enrique,
Looking forward to the end of the week and "The Blade", see you there~

That is an absolute dream knife. Thanks for putting another into my head to dream about.

I was lucky enough to pick up the HTT and big Hunter. I can asure you they are even nicer in person.

Enrique, it was nice to meet you at the show. Enrique was very kind to allow me to handle the five blade beauty. We all drool over pictures of knives with this level of craftsmanship but rarely get to see them in person much less actually hold them. I must say, it is really a pleasure and a feast for the knife nut senses!
