If you live in or around the Los Angeles Area, or are visiting, I am a magician member of a very exclusive club in Hollywood. I can get you and your guest (10 total including myself) to be my guest for an evening. Or if you have a date or want your group to be alone you may do so once I get you in.

Dinner is an option too though I would need to make reservations for you. A strict dress code is enforced as well as a more relaxed social code. It's very elegant and Victorian inside. They have a great selection of the finest drinks, but be cool and classy. You may see or even meet some celebrities in there. Mostly people who work behind the scenes in entertainment as well as some actors, comedians, and comedy actors. You'll be representing me in there as my guest. There will be Vegas quality free magic/comedy shows once where in. As well, magician members (such as myself) may also entertain your group.

I am looking for good quality high end production, semi custom, or custom knives. As I am also heavy into outdoor recreation and sports (hiking, rock climbing, mtn biking, surfing, fishing), I will look at other outdoor gadgets and equipment as well. Also if you are really good at stripping and convexing/polishing knives that could work too.
Let me know what you can offer as I am also in need of SAG membership and some head shots for acting. Also looking for work in department of water and power in Santa Monica area or somewhere in LA. Or LAFD? CDL instructor? Heck if you can help me get a good government job I will sponsor your membership and teach you magic!

Just thought I would add this is a really cool opportunity to experience one of the most exclusive night clubs in L.A. I just talked to someone today after he saw me perform a little street magic. He mentioned he been doing magic for years, auditioned a few years ago at the castle and was rejected. Also an actor told me that he heard of the place before by reading on some other actors face book that they had been trying to get dinner reservations for ten years at the castle:eek:.

I changed my settings to allow emails now. It should work.
Also I want to learn Fire Eating!!!!

You guys should have checked it out last week. In one of the shows they had a Swedish couple perform for an hour doing a routine that involved juggling (and twirling while juggling) khukris, stabbing a card with what looked like a Falkniven S1, and using a Benchmade Balisong to cut rope. And that was just the blond woman:eek: The Castle has three main acts that perform three different types of magic in three different rooms, every night, several times a night from 7pm to 1:00am. The largest room has a Vegas style show set up for special lighting and sound effects, even pyrotechnics. Half the time the large room has a very strong comedic element. I have been to comedy clubs those do not compare to the magic comedy shows.
A little taste as to what goes on in there.
 
Bump to top. Also was just checking out the performances for this week. They had links to the various performers performing there (that sentence looks redundantly redundant;)). Anyway I found it funny to look at the various web sites these magician/comedian/actors have on themselves. Some of them look so full of themselves with their fake mysterious expressions. I came to realize I too need a good website from someone who knows websites and photography (So I don't look like a douche bag). So if your around the L.A. area and can help me out with my website (I already have my domain name) then I will host you at the Castle in exchange.
 
Well my wife did my site at www.johnnymayhem.com . Really I'm not sure if they would care for a sideshow guy on stage at the magic castle, but I would love to go there, and check out the library and everything else there.
 
Hey Johnny. The library is restricted to Magician members only. However, I think I could get you in as I'm cool with the guy who works there. They would most certainly care for a sideshow guy at the Castle. On any given weekday night, they have at least three separate rooms for shows. They also have at least two performers for each room. That's just on weekdays. On weekends they have another good size room, a smaller room, and a table at a bar were non paid magician members may perform. Those spots are reserved and posted. Then when the Castle is really booming, they have another large open room, complete with bar, where special paid guest performers can perform almost anything. I've seen that space packed to see a professional pool trick shooter, and my favorite, a freak show and cabaret for one week. So you could perform there, but I doubt they would allow you to blow fire. If your interested in being flown out there too perform, send me a DVD and I will talk to them. They'll be easier to talk too as the elections are going right now and the voting pool is very small. I'm voting for a friend. Also, Neil Patrick Harris is running as an incumbent and will be there this Sunday.
 
That's definatly cool. I'm in the process of revamping the show, basicly trying to go from a grungy rock and roll freak show to a nicer looking 1920s gangster feeling vaudville style show. Well that and I gotta redo the whole press kit and everything else with it.

I guess the only other challenge would be to ship all my gear out to LA and back.
 
Hey Johny I sent you an email. Noticed at the bottom of my first post I really want to learn fire eating. So any information on that would be awesome. Hopefully you make it out here someday and I'll take you to the Castle.

Sorry Johny I rarely if ever check my myspace. I need to start. I am going with the Flare knives ($26) or the Dube ($49) which look really nice. Haven't ordered yet. But I'm excited to start.
 
I know this sounds dumb, but do you already have a set of juggling clubs? The best way to figure out what works. (least if you have a good shop that carrys them nearby) try to get a set that handles just like your clubs.
 
Bump!!!! I think I can get the SAG card and head shots on my own accord. I have been making great connections there. But it would be great to take another blade member here to the Castle.....And a good folder would have been nice while trekking in Maui:thumbup:
