Ive had this knife for awhile. I dont really carry a folder much anymore, but Ive always wanted a Scandi folder. When I saw these I ordered one up from Brisa in Finland. We had some mix up in the computer and my order was lost for a month. When the found out, they shipped it that day and threw in a free leather belt sheath. Pretty nice I thought. Well it took quite awhile to reach MO from over there so by the time I got it, I just stuck it in the box with the rest of the blades. I recently was thinking about folders for bushcraft, and if it was possible to feel comfortable without a fixed blade. I started to carry it and have used it here and there over the past week or so...I really like the folder. Its well made, a good size with a nice pointy tip. Its 1/8 D2. Kinda has a blade like the Skookum, but smaller... You dont see much on these folders suprisingly. I figure they would be a big hit with the bushcrafter crowd. So I thought id snap some pics and do some carving to see how I liked it for woods duties, and to show you guys this interesting knife.

Overall Im impressed with the little bit of carving I did with it, and love the size. It was smaller then I thought, but it makes for a nice piece. Its 1/8 D2 which we will see how I like it. I did flatten the edge at the tip while I was drilling a hole through a stick. Quick stroping took it right out.
I dont think Id want to rely on this as my sole knife or dedicated woods knife. The way the scales are designed looks very nice, but they dont go to the edge of the frame so I can see that gettin uncomfortable fast. Im thinking about making new scales for it that are a bit fatter, but I dont think I need to. For a nice EDC folder that is built very well, and comes in under a bill, this one kicks butt. I think a Scandi makes sense for a folder. Easy to keep sharp, and can be pressed into woods tasks if needed. Its also avail w/ a flat grind for those who arent in for a scandi.... Im pleased with it, and I think some of you would be too. Even if im not giving up my EDC Gossman UNK for it. lol
I couldnt find these anywhere in the US when I ordered mine, but it looks like bensbackwoods has em now. Cool!!
Hope you liked my write up......
