EnZo folder

Make the blade out of 01 instead of all the same old s.s. folders you see out there. Put more of a dropped point on the blade, full scandi grind and use a thumb disk mounted on the top of the blade. Make the knife in a couple of different variants from 3"-4". Open build is good. Keep the blade about .125" thick and send one of the 4" knives to test for ya when I am out bowhunting and stump shooting or steelhead fishing! Nice, and keepem sharp

PS have the blade on both models 1.25" high spine to edge.

Initial prices on these seem very promising.
These don't seem to have adjustable pivot?
When are these coming in?

Make a small and a large. D2 is good as is about any of the prem. steels. Nice thick lock, nice grippy g10 and we are good to go. I would make it more of a drop point and a high flat grind. Better yet if you made the blade from 01 I bet you couldn't make them fast enough. I'll take one in 01 with a 4" blade! keepem sharp

OH YEAH!! I just have to second the 4.0" blade with a thick liner lock!:D

I like profile B. I think with that full flat grind and some nice wood scales (like desert ironwood or something pretty like that) it would be an awesome folder.

I think for this size of folder it should not be more curvaceous.
For a larger, about 4 " blade, the curves can be taken out
more ergonomically.

Anybody know any North American distributors for these folders?
Also for the Enzo camper blades?
:)

I like the lines on the handle personally, with proper swells or curves such a knife can be very ergonomic (e.g. the STR BusSTR line of folders about a year ago ;)).

I think the pocket clips could use some work though - tapping the clip screws there kind of defeats the point of having a deep-carry clip. Also, the position of the clip could be very irritating to the center of the palm.

Considering the high quality of Enzos its amazing how hard it is to find them here in North America.
Absolutely love my 01 Enzo Trapper!
I am wanting a Enzo Camper in 01 but apparently they only make them in D2.
I guess i'd be lucky to find one here in any steel, might have to try and order one from the UK or Finland.
Would also like a Scandi ground Enzo folder in S30V but will wait until i can find a NA distributor.

Please, for the love of God, offer a decent high carbon steel!!!!! The outdoor buffs would kill for a scandi high carbon folder. 15N20, 1095, 52100, 01, something along those lines...

For a folder, I'd want at least 154CM, but I would be very happy with D2. I'd pass on any steel with lower chrome content, and I'd pass on 440C - I prefer a better steel.
I don't know how many people would want a typical high carbon non-stainless in a folder - that makes more sense to me in a fixed blade where you want a tougher steel.

that's the entire point... the same practical maintenance and rough use you get out of your fixed blade knife, but in a folder... instead of having to micromanage fractured edges of brittle steels in the field... I just spent about 7 hours overall fixing the edge of a friend's 154CM Benchmade Pardue auto, which he had lightly used over a period of about two months, with three major chips in the blade. You want a knife that can be easily maintained in the field... that doesn't include 8 different grits of wet and dry sandpaper or fancy daimond hones...
