Get some neodymium magnets magnets. I got some 1cm square ones, stacked them side by side so it fills the recess under the edge pro table ( remember to tape up the blade you are sharpening, magnet holds the steel particles in your slurry and scratches the side. I learnt that the expensive way on customers knives.
the table width is actually just perfect where if you sharpened the edge on the length, the variation of angle will not significantly affect your bevel angle.
sharpies are your best friend here, it lets me know how much to pivot for the belly and tip.
For the tip, go slow, light presure and easy. A rounded tip is a pain to fix.
