After seeing Enrique's awsome sharpening grinder, i needed one. but did'nt have the money to buy one so i built myself one. it's not as nice as Enriques but it works just great. track's as well as my KMG does!

I used 1/2" aluminum base, 1/4" aluminum frame and 1/4" aluminum angle as supports as well as the platen. i made platen from a piece of 1/4" 303 SS but i plan to make one from D2 and harden it down the road. i used a motor off a wood bandsaw that has been in the corner for years. 1420 RPM but i made a new drive wheel so it moves at 700 RPM now. i originally used another motor but could'nt attach to the frame and have it turn away from blade, so i swapped with this one. I made rubber feet for under the base. does'nt look all that great, but it works perfect and i plan to use it, so that does'nt bother me. i need to get one of those 1x30 leather belts now and i'm all set!!
