I can't believe that anyone falls for the sales hype on these and similar units. Look at the rating. ....1500 watts. Now go in the bath and look at your wifes hair dryer...then take a look at your cloths iron. The rating is about the same. Would you try and heat 1000 sq.ft. with an iron or hair dryer?
At 1500 watts, running 8 hours a day, that is 12 KWH of power use a day. With a national average of about 10 cents a KWH, that works out to be about $1.20 a day, so at least their claim of cost is more or less true.
