These guys are from Texas in a Helicopter blasting Hogs all over the damned place!! The gun he's using is an MSAR I think a steyr aug clone (love mine when it doesnt fail to cycle) and EO tech sight, and he's a good shot! Think clay shooting, except you're the one flying and taking a lead on running hogs! They came so close at times wish I was there swinging a Busse AK-47 lopping hog heads off, LOL! :eek:

Good luck with your bucket list. I personally prefer a little more "hunt" to my hunt but to each his own.
 
Yeah, I definately wouldn't call it hunting. You could look at it as a fun, video gamey way to erradicate nuisance animals. That's what they are here and it's way out of control. Some people have started outfits like this to get more people interested and involved, and I think it's a good thing.
 
Guys nobody said this was a hunting video, so relax. This is PEST CONTROL. And not for the timid or weak, as was posted in subject line. So not looking for righteous or negative comments please. This is a run and gun shooting video of how some texas ranchers are dealing with their Hog overpopulation in texas, a pest eradication. Don't take it personally just thought some of you would enjoy an epic heli hoggin video. If not I will take it down, or those of you who take offense please don't watch it. Thank you.
 
This video has been on the internet for at least a couple of years now. I had it emailed to my on a couple of occasions.
 
Yeah we used to tease our hunting buddies whenever they couldn't track a deer and find it, that they were feeding the coyotes real good. Same case here, well maybe fertilizer for them poor farmers who lost out on crop damage. Ashes to ashes dust to dust it all goes back.

Wow! That's awesome! Loved the vid, thanks for sharing! UR right, that is Not hunting, it's ecological restoration. Those outfits are doing good work...they should be praised and given a tax credit or something.
Pigs are an envasive species here on Guam (so are dear) brought over by Spain hundreds of years ago...they have and continue to destroy the natural ecological balance of both the terrestrial and marine environment (rooting and ungulate grazing of saplings prevents forest establishment and results in erosion and excessive sediment discharges on coral reef). They need to be eradicated, but the local gov. manages them like game species. And for some reason most military lands don't want dudes walking around shooting. Unfortunately, the vegetation is so dense here, heli-hogging isnt an option...
 
I'm originally from California and I used to get frustrated because they manage them as game animals, better not get caught with one that's been shot and no tag. Might as well start requiring tags to hunt fire ants and mosquitos.
 
Yea the hog problem here in Texas has gotten out of hand and is getting worse . These guys aint puttin a dent in the population . Massive agricultural losses every year and getting worse. I have seen packs? of hogs numbering 20-30 in the Hurst -Euless -Bedford area of the Dallas Fortworth Metroplex , thats right in the middle of a major city folks,with the "country" being 30-40 miles away in all directions. Running through city parks with children, tearing up golf courses, walking out in front of cars (2-300 lbs) and on and on and on. There is NO LIMIT in TEXAS,NO SEASON ,you can hunt these pigs 24/7/365 with or without dogs/bait/spotlights/traps/nightvision/ thermal imaging/ knives/assault rifles/etc,etc,etc. They dont care how you kill 'em or how many you kill , just that you kill em. Despite all this, the hog population is growing........ FAST. I spent some time as a Blackhawk Doorgunner, and there aint 'nothin like that chopper bankin hard leavin you hangin from a saftey harness watchin the ground going by while lettin the lead fly......ah,the good ol days! Just where did you say this outfit were located,I could use a refresher ?

Same thing in NW Texas. Those hogs need to be slaughtered. A friend who farms/ranches up Quitaque way allows hunters to kill 'em for free. If they mistakenly kill a cow or a calf, they pay up for their mistake.
 
I think Skunk should do a promo vid where he jumps out of the chopper onto a running hog and dispatches it with a Sarge 7.
