New to the forum, hi all.
I am based in the UK. Have ordered from eprague knives previously (blanks) for my knifemaking hobby. I sell to friends and only charge the cost of materials.
My latest order was for 3 blanks and the postage costs were exorbitant hence ordering 3 blades. This way I can split the postage costs across the 3 blanks.
Sadly, when the order arrived 2 days ago only 2 of these blanks were inside. The box was sealed and the grey plastic bag containing the 2 blanks was also sealed. I did email eprague the next day (yesterday), but am yet to receive a reply. It is a real shame that what should be a simple transaction can be spoilt by a careless error. However this will be resolved, I will be out of pocket. If I am lucky I will be refunded the cost of the missing blank. If I am really lucky, I will receive the missing blank. But, at the ridiculous costs to ship to the UK, I won’t hold my breath.
Eprague, how hard is it to send the number of items paid for?

Were you charged for 3?

What did the invoice show?

I would imagine that they will just send you another blank. That would be the best option for you and them.

Eating the cost of shipping would be the minimum for a mistake on their end. Refunding the cost of the blank and shipping would be another option, but not the best.

Give them a couple days to email you back, before sending another.

Hi, yes, I was charged for 3 and the invoice states 3. As you say, I will give them a few days to respond.

May be UK customs took it. You should let a firm have a chance to fix it for you before going public.

Customs stole it? Did you read the original post before speculating? Box sealed and plastic bags inside sealed.

Received a very nice email from Jacob at eprague today. They sent their apologies and will post out the missing blank.
I have used them before with no problems and their service is good. I do feel for Jacob, the cost to post will more than wipe out any profit from my original order.

Giving a company a chance to respond before badmouthing them is usually a good idea.
