Equal End Customs?

Not for all but there is a certain degree of difficulty to properly execute some equal end patterns. That some are reluctant to attempt.

Such as this single spring cigar. It's a pretty tight package.

Yeah it definitely looks like it would take a great deal of skill to pack all of that in there, and to do it well. I can understand not wanting to undertake something quite so challenging, but dang do they look good when done right.

Numerous beautiful examples here to race the pulse. I suspect that the reason they may be scarce is not the EE aspect but more the difficulty of executing a single-spring 2 blades. This and multi blades are going to be a load more costly to boot.

waynorth waynorth Exceptional, some low joints too. Once again our friend Kerry pulls it off! KnifeHead KnifeHead good thing you are back at the grindstone again, it's a life-sentence

Thanks, Will

I am not sure if they fit the "custom build", but I have made a few equal ends using Victorinox tools and backsprings

Nickel-silver bolsters and ox-bone
Dyed amber cow-bone and fluted bolsters
Brass bolsters and smoked oak.
They all have brass liners and rivets, except the nickel-silver which have nickel-silver in the bolsters, and they all have acid washed tools and back spring
I made this one for my sister. Nickel-silver bolsters and marble carbon scales. Brass liners.
Equal end is one of my favorite patterns, I think they are really classy and have the right vintage vibe of old Swedish Eskilstuna knives that I love :)
