the nicer the sheath... the more expensive. materials, numbers made (economy of scale), and pretty much 100% handmade.

how much would a BK2 cost if it was hand made, in smaller number? a lot.

bottom line though, i can buy a lot of Beckers and booze for the extra money. nothing wrong with the factory sheath for me.

what's really sad? some expensive knives... don't COME with sheaths. at all. you get a nice piece of oiled cardboard stock :) hee.

Some dealers/manufacturers should sell the knife w/o a sheath and pass that savings directly to the buyer, who in turn can translate that as a discount on their new SpecOps sheath.
