Hey everyone

This upcoming weekend I will have the opportunity to purchase a "necropsy band saw." I am hoping someone here might be able to help with a couple questions I have.

1) What makes a band saw a 'necropsy band saw'?

2) Would it be suitable for cutting wood for handles or possibly for cutting the steel?

3) How metal would it be to use a band saw that has ripped through mounds of flesh and bone to make your blade?

Thanks

I'll bet that it runs too fast to cut steel. Is there a way to adjust the speed?

Should work fine for wood. Steel may be a problem.
Blade will most likely need replacing with one more suited to your needs. Most blade suppliers will make a custom blade in any size. I like the Tri- Master and Wood Master blades.
