Buck is developing a folder with bearings, the first use of bearings by Buck, for release in 2014. It was discussed by the V.P. CJ Buck at the Buck Collectors Club 25th Celebration in Post Falls, Idaho this last Summer.

CJ was carrying a prototype in his pocket. If it meets his expectations I expect it to be announced at Shot next year.
 
I got to handle a 3D Printer version of a folder. The knife was made by a printer! No pics allowed, unfortunately. Imagine my warm and fuzzy feeling when I see Buck smack dab in the breaking edge of the present. Buck as the advance guard. Oh yes. Seeing is believing. Confidence inspiring was my take away.

CJ is remarkably competent and brilliant in person. BTW, he is heavily involved in the industry trade organization fighting fakes/counterfeits so I feel better about this problem knowing that capable hands/shoulder are pushing against the wheel.
