Eric announced 2022 Manix LW with Magnacut and screwed down construction at Shot Show

Using screws made me consider this model.. But I know LW Natives have no PB washers. How about this one?

Noticed that BladeHQ has the Salt 2 in Magnacut listed for preorder.

LOL! I obviously spend too much time on BF.

This topic was also previously discussed (over a month ago) in another thread starting here.

If all they did was replace the rivets for screws.
There are going to be a lot of people who take it apart and realize it is a PIA
to re assemble.

I'm gonna have a hard time resisting this one..
Why resist? (Maybe you were kidding.)
I'm going to buy one, and I really don't need a new knife.

Have you noticed that Eric says that he "really likes" every Spyderco that he picks up? I'm beginning to have my suspicions about this guy . . . .
Why would he manufacture a product that he doesn't like?

That's probably true, but I would consider buying one if there was the option to disassemble if there was the need, without having to get out the dremel. The fact that they have until this point been riveted has kept me from seriously considering buying the LW.

The G10 variant is not challenging at all. Is there something different in this one?

Regular pinned LW de riveted.
If the new MagnaCut uses the same scales.
Re assembly is a PIA

It might be a PIA, but if I got crap in the pivot or the spring broke or whatever, I want to be able to do something about it. The difficulty of re-assembly doesn't come into it. Personally I'd rather have the option.

Since Eric hinted that it will be in Salt Yellow, it sounds like this will be a regular production model and not a sprint or exclusive. Has this been confirmed? I sure hope so. It's interesting to see a Salt knife with a ball cage lock, but I'm certainly glad it's happening. In fact, this is the ideal knife for me that Spyderco could release in Magnacut, and I know I'm not alone. The Manix LW has always been my perfect Spyderco.
