Esee 5 Sheath

Has anyone ever used an ESEE 5 sheath for other blades? I am wondering if it would fit a Ratmandu or a blade similar to it.

I will admit I am guilty of doing exactly what u just asked, carrying a rmd in an esee 5 sheath. It works, but not great. And I had to "tie" the rmd into the sheath with a length of elastic or it would have disappeared... If you're totally without an alternative u can make due, but I would be lying if I said I recommend it. Good luck

Thanks brother. What did you end up doing with your RMD then? Would it be possible to mold the insert to the blade shape or am I hopeless? I found a sheath on amazon I may get if the ESEE5 will not conform to the blade.

Kydex sheaths for the RMD are still available from the store, get one while you can.

So why are you interested in using the ESSE-5 sheath? That's Kydex.

The Kydex is very form fitting, unlike my Armorall leather sheath for the ESEE5. The leather sheath holds my BK-2 better than it holds the ESEE 5.

That would make a lot more sense lol I have only seen pictures. I may end up going for the kydex sheaths offered on-site then. I guess I'm looking for a drop leg sheath that would fit a RMD but if none will fit and it is too impractical, it's kydex for sure.
