Esee 6p v. Junglas

It depends on what you want the knife to do. If batoning and chopping is something you will do a lot of, the Junglas will work better for you. If it isn't something you do a lot of, the 6 is plenty big enough.

The 1/8" thick Ontarios, once you put an edge on them, really are useful. They are longer than the Junglas, 12" or 18" blades, and therefore shift the weight towards the tip. If you can modify or change out the handles, you can end up with a great machete.

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

After reading all the responses and re-examing my needs and monies, I'm going to hold onto the 6 for the time being and save up for the Junglas (or wait for a deal on the exchange :)). I may also pick up a cheaper machete, tratamonia, ontario, etc. with a sheath to both tide me over and add a useful tool to the collection.

The Junglas is a sword,a knife, an axe ....it's pure art.
It is just about everything....well..it's not a midget.
But that is good. There are other, small knives to supplement for that.

The grip is awesome. You will feel the QUALITY when holding one.
