Lol, don't hold your breath. ;) :)

...ESSE... ...have best warranty in the knife business ...

If ESEE's warranty is the best in the business, I don't wan't it. ESEE refused to warranty my factory defective Izula II. Far as I am concerned their warranty isn't worth the paper it is written upon. The likelihood of me buying another ESEE is near to none. But I would grab a Survive knife up in a heartbeat.

A grind issue on a knife intended for use and sharpening is not a warranty issue. as described in their warranty. Without actually seeing the issue you describe with the scales I am a bit skeptical. It is also known that they don't warrant the scales or sheath (see in the warranty that they say blade?) which I disagree with but it is what it is. Last, and the most obvious point I'm going to make, why not return it to the dealer? TKC is a great dealer and I have no doubt they would have exchanged or refunded you.

Edit: And they did pay you for the knife. You got the knife and your money back. What exactly are you complaining about? Seems like Esee didn't want you as a customer

Five. Years. Old.

Seriously. A 5 your old necro thread to complain about getting a free knife.

Per ESEE both were valid warranty issues on a new knife and that is why they had me send it to Rowen. Bottom line is ESEE didn't stand behind how they advertise their warranty.

Nope. It is for breaking the blade. Should have returned the knife but you didn't. Instead you got your money back and a free knife. You are complaining unnecessarily. On a hard use 1095 knife if you actually use it you would have needed to sharpen it anyway. At which time the "issue" of the grind would have been very easy to fix with basic sharpening skills.

If it is that huge of an issue make your own thread about it rather than going around trashing the company in multiple thread. I'm glad Esee steers away unreasonable customers. Keeps the cost of unnecessary warranty repairs from impacting the price of their products.

I never got any free knife from ESEE. The Izula II was sent back to them.

And once again it was ESEE that requested I send the knife Rowen to "FIX' the defective knife. So yes per ESEE it was covered under their warranty. ESEE / Rowen just failed miserably in their feeble attempt to to "FIX' the Izula.

Welp, the proof is in the pudding. I don't agree and neither did Esee. They clearly don't want or need you as a customer. Sorry, the truth can be hard to swallow sometimes but there you have it. I'm done here. Time to let this necrothread die.

If I recieved a new defective knife right out of the box, I'd return it to the Dealer and let them handle it. Oh well at least you got a refund.

I don't see what there is to be unhappy about. You didn't like the fix so they refunded your purchase AND you got to keep the knife.
