ESEE Comprehensive Survival Kit

If you are in a real survival situation you want to be spotted. If it is your break down of society bag than yeah.

You make a great point though, and that's a great idea to put everything into the garbage bag when in urban areas. Although my G19 should help the sheeple decide if they want to try and take it away or not. :D

Yes, you can go from "bag of goodies" to "bag of trash" in about four seconds:D I keep a black trash bag in all my packs for that reason.
 
I'm very new to this forum & recently starting looking into esee.
Thanks for the post its appreciated. I've been looking into getting an Esee Knife & i'm in the works of putting together a good survival Kit. This definitely is the way to go, a hands down no brainer for a base starter kit to add things to. What is a rough estimate for the items you added to this kit?

I see you mentioned all components are top Quality. I'm just curious about the actual bag, I know you stated you added a shoulder strap I may do the same thing when I order mine, but what are your impressions on the bag specifically, quality wise?

I probably spent another $100-$200 on the stuff I added, maybe more.



The bag is excellent quality. All the components, bag included, of the original kit come from Best Glide. The bag is heavy duty cordura(sp) nylon, ykk zipper, and the straps wrap around the entire bag.

ESEE now has the basic survival kits available on their site. They're a great starter package if you don't need/want the 6. (Like any member here would not need/want a 6):D

I made a nice little kit out of a 5x7 horizontal maxped pouch, the ESEE basic survival kit, and some other goodies I added. Need to get pics and post that one soon.

What is a Fleece balaclava ?

I obviously know what fleece is, and let me guess it orange what ever it is.

Could you post the pictures again? I remember seeing this a loooong time ago and thought it was a pretty good deal since it came with the knife. Interested in seeing some other pics of it.
 
This was also the thread that I came across before I decided to purchase the kit. You can see I was asking plenty questions, kit its super worth it & the 6 is a beast of a blade
 
Sweet, thanks for the link. I've had my eye on the 6 forever now and rediscovered this kit on the ESEE website. This plus a few things would be the ultimate car kit and/or BOB.
