ESEE Customer Market Research

I think one thing that attracts many people to ESEE is the fact we don't suffer fools or dishonest people well. If they're a dumbass, we tell them. If they get pissed off, we simply don't care. In fact, we encourage dumbasses and dishonest people to go elsewhere since we simply don't want them in our world. Otherwise, we bend over backwards to help anyone.

I think most other companies are afraid to be honest with their customers in the ways we are.

29, white male, single, no children. While I don't make my living out doors, I feel more alive when I'm out there. I chose ESEE because of the people that run the company, and the outstanding value of their products when you factor in the fit, finish, and stellar warranty. My ESEE-6 is the first of many planned purchases from them.

Yeah, definitely. Like I said - you guys have a sort of ego, and you back it up. There's no customer ass kissing involved. It's a very refreshing thing to see.

#604, thanks for the chance!

Some people just post their pack number up on any thread hoping it's a trick question and actually a secret contest. I think that's called premature ejaculation and they have drugs for that.

I love how straight forward Jeff and Mike are, if your being an ass, they'll tell you. It's nice being able to actually talk to the owners of the company that make your favorite knives. Their warranty is amazing, and Jeff and Mike stand behind it, no matter if your throwing your knife like an idiot, or if you take a hacksaw to it, theyll replace it if its broken (even through you actually have to have a knife to send in, not one that gets lost in transit without tracking numbers, or even contacting the company).

To be completely honest, I read the entire post, noticed he only had ~17 posts, automatically assumed he was a spammer and that this thread would be closed, and jokingly posted my number. Premature judgment maybe...but nothing more.

That right there is the biggest reason I like Esee. Sure it's nice knowing that there is a great warranty, but I don't go into a relationship worrying about whether it will fail or not.

Some of you are not fortunate enough to live in the south, and while a lot of people think that the people of the south are just dumb hicks, the truth of the matter is we're probably some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Of course if you act a fool you may... :D. I like the good ole boy approach that the guys behind Esee have, it's what makes me proud to be from the south.

While I'm not like a lot of the cats here on the forum, collecting every single thing that is produced with Esee stamped on it, I do believe in the products and will gladly support the guys who not only listen to their customers, but who also interacts with their customers like they do.

I look forward to the day when I can take part in their Woodland Course and meet the guys behind the scenes.

prior to attending college was a draftsman for 15 years.
Started learning the need for quality gear while in the Marines. Since then my interests have remained with hunting and personal defense.
Recently I have become interested in a desire for sustainable living.

Since first jumping on the ESEE website way back when the company has put out a no nonsense way of doing things. After receiving my first knife it was understood they put out quality gear for people that need it. After meeting the crew at Blade Show I discovered they are great people that are a blast to hang with.

Ans- i can certainly understand (and even respect) your cynicism- I have little patience for spammers myself, but rest assured my intentions are genuine. Marketers are naturally curious people- trying to understand the minds of their customers.

Yeah, my post count is low, I spent more time lurking than posting but I hope to contribute and learn as much as anyone around here with time! Consider me a convert....heck- everyone's post count was low at one time, you gotta start someplace, no?

Esee produces quality products backed up by good ole honest customer service and its the loyalty they have for their customers to produces the best and genuinely have an interest in the input of the costumers and what they want..not whats best for their bottom line.their some honest people, which is pretty rare in companies these days.

I would have to go with Bill Hicks' take on marketing.

Why cherry pick something so you can exploit it? If R.A.T. wants to know demos I'd tell them.

31, white guy covered in tattoos, and work on Mercedes Benz's for a living. Been married for almost a year now, been with my wife for two years today, and expecting our first child (BOY!!). I also compete in shooting sports, USPSA and ICORE.

Growing up my family has always been into the outdoors. Be it camping, hiking, fishing, the outdoors is just a get away from normal daily routine. As a technician and growing up in a family with pretty much hands on work ethics, tools that are basic, functional, last a long time, are willing to take a beating, don't empty the wallet (well not too much ha ha), and are created and backed by people who created and use that tool. To me ESEE knives fit those catagories. I'd rather spend $50-$150 on a knife that's meant to be used than an over priced wall hanger with fancy coating, spikes, strange blade shapes and what ever crap you can put on a knife. Jeff and Mike as well as others that work with them are involved in their company. They take feedback from people who use their knives and what they are looking for in a quality blade and put that into ESEE.

Also wanted to mention.... When my son is old enough, I want to be able to teach him how to properly use a knife, basic survival skills, and pass my knives down to him and him to his kids, etc. With the reliabilty of these knives I'm able to do that (as long as no one decides to throw them or try to pry apart a brick wall....). If the knife is used right and somehow it breaks, no matter what generation it happens, they can still send it back WITH CORRECT PAPERWORK and get a new knife, you can not beat that warranty!!

After buying a couple Buck Knives I started lurking around here and couldn't hold off on buying an ESEE-4, and quickly picked up an Izula, 3, and HEST shortly after. I'm attracted to the excellent product for excellent prices with one hell of a warranty.
