I heard rumors there was a folder in the works for ESEE. Please tell me this is true, all my gear would match-nice. KNIFEABILITY-a must for all humans

Looks like it is on the back burner for now. No reason not to carry a good folder clipped to pocket, not carrying another sheath can be nice

Sorry guys , I get it don't post old s*^t, look around first. This is first time I liked something enough to join one. Learning slowly!

It's not on a back burner.

One thing you'll come to respect about ESEE is that nothing gets rushed to market. It can be frustrating at times, long waits for products, but in the end you know you'll get a product that has been designed, tested and refined by real users.

Cannot stand stainless steel for a hard use knife by the way.

I used to think the same thing. And while I still prefer carbon steel, if a maker gets the heat treat right, stainless can be pretty nice as well. I'm confident that Rowen will get it right and we probably won't notice much of a difference in performance.

That's my thinking. I wouldn't choose a stainless chopper but a stainless Izula would be awesome.

Hard-use anything does not fold up and need to be splinted back into one piece

However, folding stuff which is meant to cut and not rust up in your pocket does just fine with 440C or BG42.
