I always like to use my knives, but today I was stuck inside,,,,,esee gumbo
Who says the 4 isn't a good slicer?

I love cajun! We have a place about an hour away from where I live that is strictly cajun. I drive over there once or twice a month. GOOD STUFF!

Aw man that gumbo looks awesome! I did some heavy batoning today and came home and it chopped these veggies like it was new. Makin some deer chili right now in the crock pot.

There are few things in this world I like more than a good batch of gumbo. I remember the very first bowl of delicious gumbo I ever had. It was at Crabby Bills in Tampa. We lived really close to that place so we ate there all the time. I pretty much lived off their gumbo and crab legs.

I'm always down for gumbo. I'm was born and raised in Texas, but my mother is from Lake Charles, LA, and I still have family in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Cajun food is some of the best in my opinion.

Although gumbo sure does scare a lot of people who don't know much about it...

Gumbo is one of those dishes that has always eluded me. No matter what recipe I try it never ends up 'right.' Unfortunately good gumbo isn't easy to find in Ohio.
So yes, I am hungry now. Thanks a lot man.

Yeah, you can make gumbo with shrimp, crab, and/or oysters. This is chicken and sausage - which is definately my favorite
