Esee Izula handle wrap.

Hmm, now a Strider wrap done in leather sounds like something I might have to try. Would love to see some of your leather wraps, got any photos?

As most here know, I'm not really a photo guy and therefore don't post pics. I just don't find a lot of time or desire to take pics of my knives...or other personal beloingings as well. Maybe someday I'll change my mind about pics, and learn how to answer requests and emails here as well. Sorry everyone....

I hope you'll give leather some consideration for a future wrap. It seems to get lost with all the paracording and, frankly, I prefer leather for my handle wraps when all is said and done.

I know some people don't "get" leather though and probably prefer the color availability and maybe the texture of paracord. To me it's kind of a spongy mess though when exposed to liquids of any kind. It can start to stink too. Maybe it's the old "synthetic vs. natural" thing...... For me the feel of leather is unmatched.

While I can't provide a pic, there are a lot of pics of leather wrap here on-site if you just search a little bit. Just starting out with either material you'll have to wrap a knife or two to get the hang of it...there's a bit of a learning curve. But some of the results can be really classy.

The steel. I've heard people say if the heat treat's done right, then it's quite a nice steel. But all the 440c blades I've used tends to dull on me faster than 8cr13mov. I had one that went faster than my mini food-prep 3cr13 knife (kershaw3800). It's probably because they's all under the $30 range.

That's why I wanna buy something like a Boker and try that out, heard their 440c's heat treat's real good. Until then, I'm just not a fan of the 440 series of knife steels. Anyway, don't take my word for it. ESEE'll hopefully do a better job on 440c than those companies I've tried that steel from.

One of my close friends has a 440c Spyderco, and he says it holds up pretty well! It probably just depends on the heat treat.

Go with 91bravo's wrap. I have tried almost all of them out there and it has been by far the most comfortable way to wrap the Izula. I prefer it over the scales I have made for it. Phenomenal job on that one.

I wrapped mine like the way it shows on esee's paper, but I put the knot on the inside of the loop.
