(i don't know where to post this, so i'll do it in general)

i hadn't seen a video of someone throwing there Junglas, so i thought i'd make one.
its incredibly well balanced, and easy to throw.

theirs 4 different views, so don't think its just the first close up one the whole time.

let me know what you think
:)

video:

PLEASE WATCH!!! video responce to people thinking im going to break the knife,
throwing & battening through knotted wood;

NOTE:
i am an ESEE fan, and would never take advantage of their warranty. if i DID break this knife it would go on my wall as a conversation piece.

this knife DID NOT BREAK. there is a video of some french guy bending it 90 degrees before his breaks. i think you all are wrong saying its going to harm the knife by throwing it, and i have yet to be proven wrong.

That sound plus that hard quiver...if you're the one throwing in that video, you're going to be holding a broken Junglas soon. People don't throw them because they're too brittle for throwing. Designed to CUT, and CHOP, with the force being absorbed into the spine too. When you throw something hardened for hard use like that, it will destroy it. Get a throwing knife or tomahawk. Why in the HELL would you want to throw a perfectly good, expensive chopper? It can't be for self defense, so it must be for practice, in which case a cheaper knife would be a much, much better choice. Honestly, what is wrong with people these days?

Yeah, but no videos of it shaving back hair, trimming noses, or evening being used as a slim jim to unlock a car? Those are the questions that keep me up at night!

no offense, but its my money. if it breaks, i'll be the one spending my hard earned cash on another one. i just bought a Busse FFBM, so now the junglas is my "throw away knife" now, and the busse will by my chopper.

Haha, someone likes to throw money around. That still doesn't make it very intelligent to throw a knife like that. How could you buy either of those knives and know so little about their intended uses and what they are not intended for? To each their own, I guess. But if you threw it a bunch of times and weakened it, then took it out in the woods and it broke when you needed it most, would you still consider it a good idea to have thrown it?

looks like i'm not making any friends by doing this video, lol. i know there intended uses. thats why i said this is my "throw away knife" now that i've bought a FFBM. i won't be taking this Junglas out to the woods, i'll be taking my FFBM (which i won't be throwing) out to the woods. this particular Junglas is just a knife to have fun with now.

It is sounding like you are on a path of destruction to abuse/ misuse/ break your knife and you don't care enough to stop.

I feel ya. But someone once said on here something like "If one knife costs $500 and does the job 100%, and another knife costs a fraction of that and does the job 90%, then the extra money is wasted." Extremely para-phrased but you get the idea. You've dismissed that fact that your Junglas will perform every bit as well as the Busse and called it a "throw away knife" because....why? The Busse costs more? Has better steel? Someone told you it was better? You have two very awesome knives. There is no such thing as a "throwaway knife". Maybe the ESEE is more of a "beater" now, which honestly means it would be better suited to taking into the woods cause it's a strong ass knife and if you have the Busse you don't care if it gets put to the task. Are you/your parents pretty wealthy? I don't know of anyone that throws away knives that cost almost $200, and that's really what I had taken an issue with. If you don't want it, I'll buy it off you, but at "throwaway" price.

What you do with your money is your business. When you break it doing something stupid, just remember to do the community a favor and not exploit the manufacturer's warranty sending it in for a replacement. It stops being your money at that point.

Just so you know, there has been much contention surrounding ESEE and people throwing their knives. You just so happened to fall into it without knowing (or maybe you did know?) so you're going to hear it from a lot of people who love ESEE knives, and hate to see their warranty being abused. People throw the knives, break them, then turn around and scam ESEE into replacing the knife. Not saying you'd do that, just telling you why people don't like seeing it.

Gosh darn if he abused that warranty, I would call for vigilant mob to do some justice.

Hahahahaha NICE. Like I said, if he doesn't want it, I'll buy it and give it to one of my camping buddies. I'm sure they'll love the hell out of it.

i would never abuse ESEE's warranty. i said earlyer that i'd be the one BUYING another one. IF this one breaks, i'd put it on my wall for a conversation piece. but i don't see it breaking, especially after watching the DESTRUCTION video on youtube of a french guy bending it to a 90 degree angle before it snapped.

Yes, but throwing is like trying to baton a frozen knot in hardwood. Pointless. I'm still not sure why you're throwing it. A person can throw pretty much anything that will stick if they're trained...

I am not trying to come off as cold. I have made the mistake before. I tried using one of my favorite machetes as a thrower once, just to try and stick it a few times. I got it to stick, but because of all the misses the edge had become a disaster. I ended up re-profiling the entire edge. It was a waste of good hardened steel as well as my time and money. By buying dedicated practice-throwing knives you can use them without ruining their functionality. They are less likely to break because they have a low hardness.

Hmm, now I need to start throwing one of my Scrapyard knives just to see if I can break it...

sarcastic or not, if that is how you want to spend your money... i think you should go for it. i believe nobody should be able to tell you or whoever else how to spend your cash.

i in no way did this to see if i could break it.
i did this for my own enjoyment.

and again i'll repeat ...the knife DID NOT break. so all of you can "what if" all you want.... but the fact still remains,
the knife is just as fine as before i made this video.

To many judgemental people on these forums.

It's his knife, his life.. let him do what he wants with it.
