If you want the chopping power, the Khukuri will win hands down. A Khukuri is meant for chopping, and the CS is 5/16 not 3/16. If you want a knife for more than just chopping the Junglas would be better.
I think The Game makes an excellent point. The interesting thing to see would be to compare not only chopping but a wider range of expected bushcraft tasks reasonable for a blade of that size. I fear that when it comes to versatility the Kukri is going to be lacking. Still I'd love to hear some first hand reports.
a lot of the major players have their own Khukri shaped object. some more successful than others. i'm especially fond the the Becker versions (both Machax and Rheinhardt)

Not really. The HI is hard to hold and wears your hand out. The Junglas I can hold until my arm wears out. I'm an Ironworker so in my trade I'm pretty much use to working hard all day and have fairly strong hands and arms. The Blade design on the Kurkuri is good for chopping
The Handles are to small on the Kurkuri IMO. But if someone has small hands it maybe better for them JME
