Good luck, G. The Junglas is a good knife ... I guess you really are going to have to wait for a 'broken cultist' before you get lucky.
As to the machete; it works just fine. I've got about 8 machetes here and I very often go to the ESEE just for the handle ergos. I'm not worried about performance problems or damage.
