Esee lite machete on dual survival

Cody carries a Frost (Mora of Sweden Knife) every episode. He wears it around his neck. Dave has his custom Blind Horse Knife "The Pathfinder". It is expensive!! To be honest I do not like the handle design. But the ultimate was the Lite Machete!!!!! Once again amazing what a machete can do. It is the ultimate junglas survival tool. I have a condor which I believe makes the blade for ESEE but the handle is nowhere near the comfort of the ESEE!!! As well as the edge is better on the ESEE. Everyone should own a machete...like and AK47...HAHAHA

It looked like some nice advertising for a great product.

-Underwater stairs-- :D I loved that part

Awesome seeing it on the show! I also loved the "underwater stairs" part. I think it's great that they show that even guys who really know their stuff, like Cody, can fail miserably sometimes.

I could totally smell that coming, Cody is about my size and I would be pushing it climbing onto Noah's ark.

Dave's not as big, might have held just him.

(Dave could still totally kick the crap out of me in a heartbeat.:D)

Didn't Dave say he is 210lbs? Cody is over that so no wonder it sunk

Cody said "210 pounds of love" when he hopped on the shelter frame to test it.

I have a hard time believing Cody is only 210. I think he's an inch shorter than me and has much more muscle tone (muscle being heavier than fat) and I weigh in at around 235-240 (lost about 20lb more since the above pic was taken).

I would put him at around 250 but don't see a reason he would lie about it.

My bad, watched it before the morning coffee.
And yea muscle is heavier than fat as far as I know. Although I'd put my bet closer to 230. But then again I also don't know how tall he is

I have really been enjoying this show. I kept trying to figure out what kind of machete he was using because it looked like an awesome blade. Kept getting thrown off track laughing at the underwater stair comment as well as watching the Mora switch from Dave to Cody's neck.:D

I just finished watching the Bogged Down episode on YouTube and noticed the Lite Machete (waiting on my order for one from TKC) so immediately checked here to see if there was a thread about it. I've really been enjoying this show and much prefer it to Man vs Wild and even Survivor Man. I only learned that this series has been airing last week so spend a few nights this week watching all the episodes. I also just watched the Tasmania episode of Man Woman Wild which is also showing some potential.
I've been a fan of Dave Cantebury's for a while now, after learning about his YouTube channel about a year ago. I've heard of Cody before but this series is the first I've actually seen of him.

I grew in in the Caribbean and the machete (aka cutlass in Trinidad where I grew up) is a common household item. Having lived in Canada for so long now though I need to get some practice in on handling one again. No better sample to work with than the Lite Machete!

Speaking of Dual Survival, did anyone catch (and remember, unlike me) the 5 C's that Dave mentioned in the next-to-last episode?
I can remember 4, but not all 5. The 4 I remember are:
Cutter
Container
Combustion edit with correction: trichos got it. THANKS! It was on the hurricane episode based in (I think) Dominican Republic.

Cordage

Just can't remember the 5th. I'm thinking it is something to make fire with, but I can't remember the word. Maybe carbon (as in making carbon with fire?).

I remember him saying them but can't remember which episode as I watched a bunch of them back to back. Which episode was it, the one in the swamp? If you remember let me know and I'll look it up, otherwise you can check on their YouTube channel where I've been looking at them http://www.youtube.com/user/DualSurvival#g/u

Saw this episode on discovery rerun while I was in a hotel in Seattle last night. My girlfriend was rolling her eyes the whole time wondering why camping couldn't just be in RV's with air conditioning and hot water... methinks this one needs to spend a few weekends out in the woods ;)
