Esee made it on a companies with lifetime warranty list

Interesting list. I personally own products from a bunch of those companies because of those warranties, a tiny bit of customer service goes a long way. I've only had to contact ESEE a couple times but each time was completely satisfactory.

The article left out:
"Our stainless steel knives are made from 440C. It should be noted that stainless steel is not as flexible as carbon steels. Any excessive flexing of the blade may cause breakage. We do not warranty our stainless steel knives against abuse as we do our carbon steel models."

It also says they will not cover damage from throwing which is not what Esee says at all.

This is what they do say:

"ESEE KNIVES ARE NOT THROWING KNIVES! They are hardened to a higher Rockwell than throwing knives and will most likely break if thrown, possibly harming the user. So, do yourself and your ESEE knife a favor and DO NOT throw it. Using any knife not meant to be thrown as a throwing knife is idiotic! We would rather idiots not buy our knives."

Makes sense to me. I wouldn't want idiots buying my product either. There was one thread somewhere where a guy complained that he was called an idiot for throwing his knife that broke. They covered it but asked him not to buy anymore of their products because he was an idiot. Love it!

I use my knives with these best warranties more and harder than my other knives because of how the companies stand behind their products, Esee included.

Really couldn't care less about the "lifetime"/"no questions asked" warranty. I expect every item I buy to be warrantied against manufacturing defects whether specified or not. After that it's my responsibility. I don't understand breaking something and making someone else pay for it. Especially when that cost is made up by the other customers.
