Esee Multitool?

I know it sounds crazy but here me out,

I carry a leatherman surge with me everywhere I go, day and night I use that thing a hundred times a day! from screwdriver, to knife, to file, to scissors,

however it's got some downfalls, like I would prefer it b made of the same metal as the esee knives with the same style of them.

So I guess My question is,

Anything like that in the makings? What would it take to get one created?

or even,


would anyone else like to see something like that?! or is it just me...



p.s. I think a kydex snap in sheath for a multitool would be pretty rad.
 
Jeff has stated a few times that this most likely won't happen. A multi-tool is pretty complex and requires a huge investment in tooling and facilities to produce. So far ESEE prefers the KISS business model;)

I could be wrong but I think 1095 in a multi tool would be asking for trouble. You would need some sort of super coating to protect the metal. Also I would wager that the implements on most multi-tools are not hardened quite as much as ESEE knives.

Thats pretty acurate from what I can recall, though it would be cool to see an ESEE Multi-tool some day.
 
with all the headache they are going through trying to just get a folder out, a multitool is far out of reach. along with the kiss mentality, these guys aren't trying to reinvent the wheel. just my guess based on previous threads, but jeff would probably recommend the sog multitools.
 
I like my SOG powerlock too. I took those damn wings off though. They were driving me insane.

I think an ESEE multi-tool would be killer, but totally get why it isn't practical to make at this time.

I wonder what percentage of the market leatherman has nailed down compared to gerber and the rest?
