can it be true?? I've been wandering how long ESEE would be "formerly known as"..

who was it SBC? when they converted over to Verizon.. didn't take long at all, was weird at first but now I can't even remember who it was to be honest..

I know many who still call even the ESEE knives an RC3,4 etc.. Its good to see that name recognition is starting to take place...

Will the conversion continue abroad?

The 4 i received early july was named RC-4 :)
I noticed the missing part in the forum name when i logged in just a few minutes ago.

My RC5 has RC5 stamped in it. My RC3 has RC3 stamped in it. I'll call em that til the engravings change. Back when I invested in the blades, the company was called RAT Cutlery and Randalls' Adventure Training. People call Shelby Mustangs Shelby Mustangs, not Fords. I dunno... in my opinion the old company lives on.

Even ESEE knives will be called RC for a while i think. Old habbits die hard.

+1

If the knife says RC-4 on it, then there's no reason to call it anything else.

i could care less about the name change, its not like the knives have changed at all.

I have been trying my hardest to call the knives/tools "E-4, E-3CP" etc and so on.

Its all I have anyways, Esee branded gear.

I agree, old habits do die hard...

what is stamped is what it is, its sometimes hard to deal with a name change.. but if I hand you my ESEE4 and you hand it back saying 'nice RC4' its just enough to send me over the edge......:D

no big deal for sure, it is what it is..

I was just curious how long and on every site it would be 'formerly known as'

you know like prince, artist, homo.. whatever hes called i still call him prince.. but I only call Verizon, verizon........

The main page was looking different, I just couldn't pinpoint it.

Not until I saw the new solo "ESEE KNIVES" manufactures forum link.

It's aboot time:D:thumbup:

There's a popular retailer or two where you have to look under RC to find these products, you won't find them under ESEE....maybe because they can't prononce it...I know I can't ;)

Just "S" "E" bro! Easy as pie :p

I also notice that people prounounce Junglas like "Jung-glass", when it is actually "Hoon-glass".

Not really a big deal, just something I've noticed in video reviews, NO one calls is the "Hoon-glass" :D

Are you sure it's not "S" "A"

After all you are pronouncing Junglas in a Spanish/Latino pronunciation right?

ESEE will always be RAT Cutlery to me. It's just so much easier to say 'RAT' than 'ESEE'. Does it really matter though? We all know who they are and what they stand for. And I really don't care what's stamped onto the blade as long as it says ROWEN on one side or another so I know it's an ESEERAT.
Pronounced 'eh-seer-rat'.:D

I never bought any of their knives till they were called ESEE. . . .

I know them as nothing else.

I like the name, ESEE. I have since learned that Rowen makes the ESEE knives that the Randall's Adventure & Training designs. Which is why the name Rowen is on the knives.

I plan on getting the ESEE 6 soon. Preferably a clip point, which leads me to ask if anyone may answer, is it legal to own a ESEE 6 clip point blade in California? Their website says to check with local laws. . . .
