ESEE of the compound bow world?

I've bow hunted for something like 30 years now and for a lot of years I only used a bow. I've owned and shot a bunch of different bows over the years and there is a big difference in quality and reliability. People might poo poo this but the top two players are Mathews and Hoyt and they are the top two for a reason. My third choice would be PSE.

I do currently own Martin Bows and will say they are not bad bows. They do not have the same engineering support some of the other manufactures have. What that means is that sometimes you get a bow the has issues. They redesign it until they get it right and more important that stand behind both good and bad designs. Pug, their designer left a year or so ago to help out with a family business. That caused a small issue for them. Martin will stand behind their bows as good or better than any company I now.

I shot PSE for about 10 years and never had a problem with their compounds or recurves. Longbows I shot where from a different company. PSE bows are very well built but a bit heavy.

Mathews and Hoty very good bows. Nuff said.

Bowtech...I'd sure stay away from those. They had a no questions asked recall due to people ending up in the hospital when the limbs broke. Their designer married the Martin Girl and Bowtech fired him. He basically started his own businees but before he did he told people what was going on at Bowtech with the limb issue. They didn't recall them until after Savage bought them out. I had been hearing they they were hurting and trying to sell. The limb issues have been an issue for them for over 7 years now.

Who else do you want to know about?

The only compound bow I ever saw and used that I really didn't like were the Golden Eagles, but this was early to mid 90's. They were far ahead in the speed game at the time for sure. Trouble was, they were noisy as hell and my buddy cut his face when the first one he had let go shooting on the range. He got another and it too blew up on him.

No current info on them though and it's been a long time for me.

I always wanted to teach myself fingers shooting with a recurve...it's still on my list for when I move somewhere that the neighbors can't call the cops for 'discharge of a firearm' if I use it in the backyard. This state _sucks_.
