I prefer the Colombian versions. Both my Laserna and Recovery bag are made in Colombia.

Hopefully some people hold off for the American versions. :p

What exactly comes in each bag? Is there a list of contents anywhere or are the knives/firekits just for show? I think I saw a pocket chainsaw also....

I thought it was just a Pack. I hope it's not a kit. I might buy one if I can get some dims on these blasted things. But I don't want any gear. I think those are just visual aids. (Could well be wrong about that though.)

I am not sure and thought I read something of the sort so I figured I'd ask to clear up any confusion.
 
I'm looking forward to these packs. my emergency kit is a little overstuffed right now.
 
cant wait for these, my kit resides in a large nylon pencil bag right now, it works well for the dollar i paid but really need something better
 
I would also like to know more about what (if anything) will be in the packs. Also, TexasTony, would you elaborate on your experience with them? Maybe compare them to the old packs if that is possible....

Yep, thats why I asked as well because there was something in my mind about the Packs being sort of a kit... Checked some other threads and I think I know where this came from: Junglas and ESEE Pack contest 2nd and 3rd prizes were stated as "Large ESEE Pack (OD) w/ Fire Kit, Nav Cards and Survival Cards; Small ESEE Pack (OD) with Fire Kit, Nav Cards and Survival Cards".

Maybe thats the reason why we thought the new ESEE Pack will be sold as a kit in general ;)

Yep. Like I said, don't let the name confuse you (like that's never happened here :rolleyes:), this has nothing to do with the "cult", it's an ESEE product like anything else.

I've asked this question before as well.

I thought it came with a knife, fire starter, etc. because
A) The product name is "Pack Kit" .
B) The images on the website showed items in it.
 
This is one funny thread. Trust me, all the info will be posted on how to buy. You DO NOT need a pack number to order a pack. Not sure where that came from ;)

Will try to get rough dimensions posted up soon.
 
I am super glad this didnt go on sale today, I have been stressin all day as I was out in the field working and knew they would all be sold before I got back into the office. I will make sure I am in the office all day on the first.
