ESEE RAT 5 - MOLLE Back??

Hi Guys,

I'm just after a bit of advice as google doesn't seem to be able to provide me with the answers.

I'm after a MOLLE back for my RAT 5 for an up-coming trip to the Amazon, however i seem to be having difficulties trying to source one.

I'm based in the UK, so i've tried my official distributor and several other reliable suppliers with no joy.

I also noticed this message on the official site...

"Note: We are currently out of stock on all colors of the ESEE-5/6 MOLLE Back. You can still order through the links below but we do not expect to have stock from our vendor until the end of November. We do have stock on the factory seconds."

I would quite happily order a factory second, but the link on the site doesn't work for me!

Does anyone know if ESEE/RAT are sold out due to high demand? or if they are planning on replacing this MOLLE back with a newer version?

Alternatively, are there any other aftermarket sheath options with simular features known to accommodate the RAT 5?

they are sold out of the seconds. you can get the regular molle backs from the knife connection though.

Thank you both for the swift reply,

I'm a bit hesitant to buy one off ebay as the shipping doesn't mention insurance on international orders.

I have sent an enquiry to 'The Knife Connection' in the hope they will be able to assist me! :)

My main concern was that im not buying something that will be replaced in November by a newer 'shiney' version!!
 
the backs and pouches arn't going to be changed. they are extremly well made, the only issue is delivery from the supplier has varied alot.
