ESEE Spring Camp out!

Who let the woman out of the kitchen???

:D:D:D

Just playing Mrs. S.

I would love to make it to Blade, and you and your hubby will be the first people I give a great big hug to:thumbup:

There's not enough room in our kitchen for me and the mr. I let him stay in there.

On that note..............I think you should stay in your neck of the woods. :p

So someone give me all the details of this gig! How far is this from SA?

Google map it. It's about an hour north of houston. What else would you like to know?

David pretty much covered it. We camp, we eat, we laugh, we drink.

Usually people arrive Thursday or Friday. Saturday night we'll have a communal meal (organized by someone, David did it for the fall. He did a fantastic job and we'd love to have him do it again :D). We also had a communal breakfast.

We set up a trade blanket where you can bring any gear you don't want to see if you can trade others for things they no longer want.

The new location we're looking at has picnic tables and lantern hooks. It's nicely wooded and would serve us well.

Make a left instead of a right on 1375. The 1st street on the right hand side. Go down the dirt road and there's a place called Kelly's Pond.

Yall country folk need to quit being so lazy. Get out of Texas and do a campout a little further north.

It would be nice to finally meet you guys and gals.

I have absolutely no clue why, but I read this in my head with an Irish accent. Can't be good

I won't be able to make it for this event but sure sounds like a great time and hopefully I can make a gathering in the future

i am sorry.....hour and a half is just plain to far for me to drive...lol...hope to make this one....i have been a no show at the last two....

LOL, hour and a half too far? Have you forgotten how much fun it is, to be worth it? It will be 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive for me, I think something similar for CricketDave, and you know 1066Vik has to drive something like 11 or 12 hours?

All of y'all up North, if you're tired of seeing snow still on the ground in April, come on down! :)

I'm not tired of snow - haven't seen any yet this season!
(but my pond froze over this past weekend)

I'm going to keep my eye on this one. Although Texas is a decent haul as the crow flies, I can still be there within a day on the bike, humm....
