ESEE Tattoos

Anyone watching that DPx tattoo thread? Man, five guys ponied up quick for a free folder. :D

To each his own, but I wouldn't ink my body for a 2000 dollar folder. Just never been into tattoos. Now as I said, if someone likes them then go for it.

We never made any claims on value received :) Like I said, I wouldn't do it for a 2000 dollar gift certficate to Home Depot or a free folder. I migth do it for a few free trips to the Chicken Ranch but that's pushing it. Now, if I was in to tattoo work I would have one for sure because we do have cool logos and cool knives ;) It's just that no one can figure out what the hell our name means :rolleyes:

It's like people getting Harley Tattoos... they love the product and the company and they want to show allegiance. People get tattoos of sports teams, cartoon characters, Fire dept crosses etc. Tattoos are a personal decision that others may not understand.
 
Yes, but if RYP is offering a folder and they're gonna get the ink anyway, why not get the folder????

I got ink, but I got 3 rules to go with it,
1) No names, no matter what
2) Never where I can see it every day
3) Never while drunk, or under the influnence of anything, the pain makes the stain

Just me. YMMV

Getting a company name or a logo would violate number 1, plus, it wouldn't go with the cubic yard of ink I already have, LOL. Don't want my tats clashing.

I agree with never getting inked when intoxicated. The alcohol thins the blood and makes you loose more ink than necessary before it has a chance to heal over.

As far as the motivation for getting an ESEE tattoo, I really like what the bullet ant represents but the free knife is a good added benefit. It's not about the value of the knife to me, as long as I have a way to internalize the meaning of a tattoo and justify it to myself.
 
i've been pondering getting a knife tattoo for a while. perhaps a Machax :> it's unclear though what to add to it. nothing has inspired yet.

I like your rules! I have 2 tattoos. The izula ant on my bum and I have filigree on my foot. I will be getting more ink added to the filigree when we go to Vegas for SHOT show. There is only 1 tattoo artist i would ever let touch my skin w/ ink. :)
 
Jeff does my tat qualify for a knife? Its back on page 2 somewhere.
