Esee traps and snares

I've read Ragnars book on Urban Survival...interesting stuff.

Putting the Hest to good use. Pardon the "loose ends" it was just for demonstration purposes...but i guess i should have taken more care to make it looks perfect based on that fact.. hmm, i'm tired. here are the pics.

thats a fun little trap to build...finding a way to build the ring for the trigger mechanism was pretty cool too.

ah, good old "FM 21-76 US ARMY SURVIVAL MANUAL"

Md 25v's trap thread over on the Becker side : http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=805100 covered that well

i believe you want the trigger toggle to go through the ring from the bottom, so it's pulled down/off when the string is tripped

I definetly see how that could be a help! This one was so touchy anyways it didnt matter as much. I looked at the diagram from the link you posted and the toggle is fed through the ring from the top as is mine. These traps are awesome, they work really well too!

i think it's posted from the tree side, which would be the bottom, if rotated, i checked again to be sure. terrible small picture, but i believe that's the thing.

That makes perfect sense to me! Thanks Bladite!
